★ Care & Instructions: To prevent seizing, cold welding & thread galling. You must wax or lubricate stainless steel hardware.
Included is a small amount of UNCLE JOHNNY’S skateboard wax. Apply to the threads of nuts & bolts before installing your hardware.
You can also use spray lubricant or anti-seize compound. If you do not wax or lubricate the hardware. You risk seizing, cold welding & thread galling.
Do not use a power drill. Hand drive only. Do not overtighten.
★ What Size ??? Most shortboards require the standard hardware of 7/8 or 1 Inch. For longboards and cruisers, 1 1/4 Inch is good.
However, if you are considering on adding risers or shock pads, you would need longer bolts.
Below is the suggested length according to the thickness of the riser.
✔ 7/8 to 1 Inch hardware -> No riser
✔ 1 1/4 Inch hardware-> 1/4 Inch riser
✔ 1 1/2 Inch hardware-> 1/2 Inch riser
✔ 1 3/4 Inch hardware-> 3/4 Inch riser
✔ 2 Inch hardware-> 1 Inch riser
